How we work

We select the prosthesis individually for each patient, taking into account their features.

The initial consultation takes at least 3-4 hours, there we give a brief overview of the main and additional components used in the manufacture of the prosthesis.

We talk about necessary skills for the formation of a stump (during primary amputation): bandaging of the stump, rolling of the silicone cover, exercises to maintain the muscle tone of the stump and the above lying segments, etc.

We advise on documents. We give the conclusions on the MTK.

We select a silicone case during a consultation and give it to the patient for up to 2 months for proper formation and preparation for further prosthetics of the stump.

The usage of the silicone cover makes it possible for the stump to get used to the new material, assess the degree of sweating, identify possible allergic reactions, and also makes it possible for the stump to lose weight before making a prosthesis, which in the future greatly facilitates the life of the patient himself, with the initial use of the prosthesis.

Making of a plaster cast on a prepared, thinned stump, with a cover, possibly already smaller. Modeling of a plaster cast and manufacturing of the first trial sleeve.

One of the options for making a cast is using a modified high-tech hydrostatic crimping system of a negative plaster cast with microprocessor automatic adjustment of pressure.

All the sleeves are manufactured exclusively individually by making casts!

Rough assembly of the prosthesis on a test stump sleeve using a centering machine (for lower limb prostheses).

The purpose of using the centering machine is a linear shift of the stump sleeve relative to the foot and possibly the knee joint in two planes: frontal and sagittal, as well as angular alignment and rotation around the longitudinal axis.

The centering process allows you to optimally adjust the prosthesis to the characteristics of a particular patient, and facilitates the process of learning how to use the prosthesis.

An important stage of prosthetics is the use of a prosthesis. The process of learning to use a prosthesis.

Patients with lower limb prostheses are taught to walk correctly, to descend and climb stairs, to walk on an inclined surface.

Patients with prosthetic hands are taught to use a prosthesis, taking into account its technical characteristics and purposes.

Correction of the test stump sleeve, bringing it to "perfection" until the patient becomes as comfortable as possible with the prosthesis.

This issue is particularly acute for lower limb prostheses.

Our policy is that the prosthesis should not cause any inconvenience: kneading, rubbing, spinning, sliding, etc. If there is something similar in your prosthesis, your sleeve is not made well enough.

Manufacturing of the main stump sleeve. The main sleeve can be made in almost any color scheme, with any pattern at the request of the patient.

Final assembly of the prosthesis. Control walking. The transfer of the prosthesis to the finish is the manufacture of a cosmetic shell.

Quality control of the received product. Delivery of the finished prosthesis.

Throughout the entire work, as well as after its completion (during the entire time of using the prosthesis), we are in touch with our patients almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to promptly resolve issues related to prosthetics.
